Get to know
We're one global team but we've got our own stories. Here's what makes us tick.
What advice do you live by?
"There are no mistakes in life, only learning opportunities"
What don’t people know about working at Square Peg?
"We have awesome offsites which bring the entire team together – it’s a great opportunity to hear from some of our founders, share ideas and collaborate on strategy while having a great time and creating some epic memories."
What experience do you wish you could erase from your mind, so you can do it again for the first time?
"My first ever AFL Grand Final – but the result would be reversed the 2nd time round!"
What tech do you avoid in your personal life?
"‘Intelligent’ Personal Assistants – I’m too much of a control freak to ask Siri or Alexa to do what I can!"
What was the greatest lesson an early job taught you?
"Several early customer service roles taught me the value of patience and resilience as well how to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. From a strategic perspective it made me realize the importance of front-line workers in creating a well-oiled machine and changing a cost-centre to a revenue driver."
What’s the next big opportunity in tech?
"An unoriginal answer but given that we are in the early days of the Web 3.0 journey, I am excited to see whether it would produce a fundamental change to society. A paradigm shift from the future of work and education, to the evolution of traditional finance, to challenging the definition of ownership are just some of the broad spectrum of possible themes for disruption."
Where did you learn the most in your career?
"My time at global equities manager Platinum Asset Management. I was surrounded by some individuals who were the leaders in their respective fields, so the learning opportunities were immense. It was a great exposure to different styles of investing and debates on the merits of each."
