Sydney — Australia
What in your childhood made your career trajectory probable?
My family definitely instilled in me a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed in whatever I do. My sisters and I were always taught that we could do whatever we wanted to, but that we would have to do it ourselves.
How did your last role equip you for this one?
Before Square Peg, I was the Financial Controller of a fintech startup. I learned so much riding the highs and lows of working in a startup, dealing with unique challenges, including raising capital and trying to build a stable product. I think this experience has given me great insight into what some of our portfolio companies experience day-to-day.
What something inspires you every day at Square Peg?
I am inspired every day by the overwhelming energy that the team has for everything tech and investment.
What’s the next big opportunity in tech?
I personally have absolutely no idea, I will leave that to the investment team. One thing that we can all be sure about is the way we consume and live has changed during COVID and will continue to change in some small and in some big ways.
What tech do you avoid in your personal life?
Every video game and console after Mario Kart on Nintendo 64. Wa-hoo!
