Square Peg, Global Head of Talent
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Talent to build the talent practice at Square Peg. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that the founders we invest in have the best talent advice, support and resources at their disposal. This person will also lead talent internally at Square Peg. This is a global role, based in Sydney, with international travel benefits.
You will be working alongside the global Square Peg VC team on a shared mission: to empower exceptional founders. Square Peg was founded in 2012 and has grown into a global investment firm with teams in Sydney, Melbourne, Tel Aviv, and Singapore. Square Peg invests in emerging technology companies across the internet economy. So far, Square Peg has over US$1 billion in assets under management across multiple funds and has invested in companies including Fiverr, Canva, StashAway, Airwallex, Kredivo and Tomorrow. In 2021, Square Peg expanded into global listed technology investing.

Consult with our founders on their long-term organisational design and talent needs
Advise our founders on the most effective talent strategies to assist them in building their companies
Develop a global pool of exceptional senior execs to assist with portfolio recruitment and advisory
Build a network of world-class search firms and recruiters to recommend to our founders
Build a resource bank of benchmarks and best practices for recruitment, compensation, and talent management

Who you are

Empathy: You know that building a startup is both hugely rewarding and very difficult. Your empathy leads you to be focused, practical and ambitious for the teams that we support.
Communication: You're confident communicating across cultures and contexts. You are a great listener, seek insight and can build trust with colleagues and senior executives.

You are likely to have 5-10 years of experience.
You have held senior roles in talent management or executive recruitment in a high-growth tech company or search firm.
You are likely to have experience in consulting and organisational development.
